On conducting a rating vote to determine who will take part in the meeting of delegates from among the rights holders – individuals who have transferred property rights to copyright held by the government agency “Ukrainian Agency for Copyright and Related Rights”

We draw the attention of the author’s community to the fact that the Ministry of Economic Development continues to implement procedures for the denationalization of the State Organization Ukrainian Agency for Copyright and Related Rights (SO UACRR) in accordance with the Law of Ukraine No. 2415 “On Effective Management of the Rights of Owners in the Sphere of Copyright and (or) Related rights “(hereinafter – Law 2415).

The procedure for denationalization of the SO UACRR is defined by Law 2415, and envisages, in particular, conducting a rating vote to identify the authors who are authors and have valid agreements with SO UACRR regarding the management of their respective copyright property rights as of the date of entry into force of Law 2415, in the quantity , which does not exceed 11 people.

According to the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Regional Development of Ukraine dated 08.10.2018, No. 1462 “On Approval of the Procedure for Ratings of Votes, the Minimum Number of Works and the Maximum Number of Authors of the Specific Types of Works for the Purposes of the Rating Voting for the Definition of Persons to Take Part in the Meeting of Delegates from the Rightsholders – Individuals, who transferred to the government agency “Ukrainian Agency for Copyright and Related Rights” their property rights “, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine dated October 30, 2018, No. 1234/32686 (attached), from November 12 to 16, 2018, a person , who wish to participate in the rating vote, submit a statement to the commission personally according to the prescribed order form.

Attached to the application:

– consent to the processing of personal data;

– passport copy;

– a copy of the agreement on the management of the property rights of the author, concluded with the SO UACRR.

In the case when the author proposes his candidacy for the delegates:

• the statement states, in which of the five types of works the author submits his candidature, considering that the candidate has created the most works of this type and manages the rights to them to the SO UACRR;
• an additional biographical information of the author is given with indication of information about his creative achievements.

Applications are accepted at the address: Kyiv, Druzhby Narodiv Boulevard, 28, from 9.00 to 18.00.

Preferential voting on the selection of candidates for the delegates will be held on November 19, 2018 from 9.00 to 18.00. at the address: Kyiv, Druzhby Narodiv Boulevard, 28.

Persons are allowed to participate in the rating voting, taking into account the minimum number of works of the author.

To participate in the rating voting, the author must present a document certifying his identity.
