UACRR licensed Depeche Mode concert breaking royalty payment record!

We are proud to inform that UACRR licensed the British rock legends Depeche Mode’s concert which took place July 19th at “Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex”, Kyiv. The amount of royalty, which will be paid to the band’s authors in the upcoming days, is the highest for concert events in the history of copyright in Ukraine. It is noteworthy that this figure is higher than total royalty amount paid by all Ukrainian radio stations during last year.

Overall, UACRR royalty collections from concerts increased by several times comparing to 2016.

This concert reiterated respect for copyright in Ukraine, summarizing UACRR’s and our British partners’ efforts. It can be said that transparency and openness transformed UACRR into effective apparatus between music user and author as foreseen by best European practices.
