State Organization UACRR continues to fight for the stolen authors millions

Dear authors and copyright holders!  We would like to inform you that the Commercial Court of Kyiv City has opened a lawsuit to declare the Agreement, which was concluded by the former head of SO UACRR Dmytro Kostyuk with NGO UACRR, in which he is also the head, invalid.

According to this Agreement, Kostyuk and his team tried fraudulently, covering themselves with the Certificate of the public organization “Ukrainian Author’s Service” and thanks to the full agreement “with themselves” to take possetion of the royalties collected by the State Organization UACRR.  In just one month, the intruders were able to seize nearly ten and a half million UAH (approximately 420 000 $).

As stated in this NGO’s annual report for 2018, officially published on their website, of the funds that Kostyuk seized, two and a half million UAH were unjustifiably and illegally withheld for their own needs, and other funds were not paid by Kostyuk, or  either because of the absence of a computer program (subparagraph 3 of item 5.2. of the report), or because of payment deadlines that have not occurred (part II of paragraph 5.2. of the report).

The latter is surprising because, for example, in a contract with the Russian Authors’ Society (RAO), payment is made twice a year, and Dmytro Kostyuk was not able to pay a penny for the whole year.  Other rights holders also receive their funds either quarterly or semi-annually.  In total, in 2018 Dmitry Kostyuk “could not” (rather did not want to) pay more than sixteen million UAH (approximately 640 000 $).

The funds that Kostiuk fraudulently transferred from the accounts of the State Organization UACRR to his non-governmental organization were ready and identified for sending to international organizations, but for some reason these organizations are still waiting, and we are seeing many millions of “excuses” in official reports.

The new management of SO UACRR has immediately suspended any unjustified payments in favor of the Kostyuk organization and initiated lawsuits against this organization

State Organization UACRR will never stop fighting until all the royalties are received by the authors, their heirs and the copyright holders.
