On the 23rd of March was held the oldest in Ukraine professional theater Awards Ceremony "Kyiv Pectoral". The event took place on the eve of the International Day of Theatre in Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre.
All the professional theaters of Kyiv took part in the competition, and even the capital’s mayor attended the ceremony. In his speech Vitali Klitschko promised that Kyiv government will keep on promoting the award. "If we are talking about Kyiv as the European capital, we must develop and maintain cultural traditions of the city", – said the head of the city. The fighters from the ATO zone also attended Awards Ceremony and in their honor sisters Telniuk performed their song "Come back alive."In the first nomination "For the significant contribution to the development of the theater" Bogdan Strutinskii got the pectoral. Shorena Shoniia won the nomination "The best acting debut" for her role in the play "Romeo and Juliet" directed by Kyryl Kashlikov. In return the pectoral "for the best directorial debut" went to Vadim Prokopenko for the play "Carmen Suite". "The best performance plastic solution" was awarded to Oleksii Skliarenko. Performance "It Seems to Be Happiness" has received pectoral for "The best chamber performance" and brought Ada Rogovtseva award "The best actress". "The walking dead" – another show which took several awards: "The best actor" (Oleksii Bogdanovych) and "The best actress of second plan" (Natalia Sumska). Grand Prize "For the best drama performance" went to the comedy "Heartful fun or a cap with carps," directed by Dmytro Bogomazov.UACCR congratulates the winners of "Kyiv pectoral" and wishes them creative success and further victories!
